How to Knit the Roadkill Mitts
On-Demand ClassThe project uses various ribber techniques. For students who are new to knitting with the ribber attachment, we have made a class with video guidance to help you with the project.
The class has the project broken down into three chapters, with assignments, and relevant videos that demonstrate the required techniques to finish that chapter.
You can take the class at your own pace, or make it a weekly practice. The class will be accessible in your account for life, so you can come back any time you are ready to knit.
You will also have access to our forum to post questions, and see fellow knitters adaptation to the pattern.

Chapter 1 – Yarn & Tension Swatch
One of the most important steps for every project is finding the right tension with your yarn. We will show how to make and measure a tension swatch, as well as steaming and wet-finishing (if applicable to your chosen yarn) your swatches.
Chapter 2 – Practice the Techniques
We will show you the 4 techniques used in this project: 1x1 Rib, Half Cardigan (Shaker/English Rib), Increasing and Decreasing over several needles in rib layout, and rehanging Stitches. Take the time to practice these techniques on test swatches before jumping onto the project.
Chapter 3 – Knit the Mitts
Follow the written instructions to knit the project.
